Our Cotton Mattress Protector adds a soft, quilted layer between you and your mattress, guarding it against everyday wear while making your bed feel that little bit more inviting.
The quilted top is 100% cotton percale, a crisp, smooth weave that feels cool against the skin. Beneath it, a 120gsm quilted filling adds gentle cushioning that softens the feel of your bed without changing its support. Cotton is naturally breathable, so air and moisture can move freely and you're less likely to wake feeling too warm. There is no plastic coating or waterproof layer, which keeps the protector quiet and comfortable to sleep on. The cotton top also has a zinc-based antibacterial finish, applied directly to the fibres, which helps reduce the growth of bacteria in the fabric. The finish is most effective when the protector is new and gradually reduces with washing. After that, regular washing at 40°C is what keeps it fresh and hygienic.
It fits like a fitted sheet, with fully elasticated edges that hold it smoothly in place. Most sizes have a 38cm (15") deep skirt, suitable for mattresses up to 15" deep. Long Narrow Single and Long Single have a 30cm (12") skirt. It also moves well with adjustable beds.
